Australian Government moving towards legalized Online Gambling

May 24th, 2012 – ABC reports that the Australian Minister of Communications has indicated a possibility for legalizing online gambling in the near future. Stephen Conroy discussed the situation where it is legal for Australians to make a bet through a telephone call it is still illegal to make a bet online.
According to sources in the Herald Sun a draft for legislation is being created. In what timeframe these possible changes may be implemented remains unsure. However we do like to see a step towards a regulated open online gambling market anywhere we see it.
